These notices apply to applications submitted directly to To A Tea Delis, LLC for its independently operated McAlister's Deli locations in Greenwood and Cleveland, Mississippi. To A Tea Delis—not McAlister's corporate—is the prospective employer and makes all local hiring decisions.
Equal employment opportunity
To A Tea Delis considers qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, protected veteran or military status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law. Retaliation for exercising protected rights is prohibited.
Application stages and timing
The application has five stages: contact and age eligibility; role, location, and schedule; Sweet TEA guest-care and work-habit questions; five basic restaurant-skill situations; and final notices and review. It usually takes about eight minutes. There is no timer, and response speed is not part of hiring review.
Skills check and human review
The prescreener covers guest care, coachability, teamwork, order accuracy, basic arithmetic, time, and food-safety or hazard judgment. A local manager reviews the complete application. No algorithm makes a hiring decision, no single answer automatically disqualifies an applicant, and traffic, dwell-time, region, spelling, grammar, and writing style are not used as hiring criteria.
Reasonable accommodation
To request a reasonable accommodation or an accessible alternative for any part of the application, skills check, or interview process, call (662) 219-2049. You do not need to disclose a diagnosis in the online application. Accommodation requests are handled separately and confidentially as required by law.
Drug- and alcohol-free workplace
To A Tea Delis prohibits working while impaired and prohibits the possession, use, distribution, or sale of illegal drugs on company property or while working. Alcohol misuse at work is also prohibited. If applicant or employee testing is used, it will be conducted under a written policy and applicable law, with required notice, confidentiality, confirmation, and review procedures.
No specimen is requested as part of this online application. The online acknowledgment is a workplace-conduct acknowledgment—not notice that you will be tested and not consent to testing—and it does not ask about prescriptions, disability, treatment, or past addiction. If applicant testing is later required, To A Tea Delis will provide the separate written policy and applicant notice required for that program before collection. Do not provide prescription or medical information through the application. Lawful medication and accommodation questions, if relevant later, are handled confidentially through the legally appropriate process.
Applicants under 18
Applicants must be at least 16. If hired before age 18, work assignments will be limited by applicable youth-employment rules. Restricted equipment and hazardous duties will not be assigned to minors. Some leadership or task assignments may require the employee to be at least 18.
Background checks and work authorization
Do not submit a Social Security number, identification document, banking information, medical information, or background-check document through this application. If a third-party background report is requested later, To A Tea Delis will first provide a separate disclosure and obtain authorization, and will provide any legally required pre-adverse and adverse-action notices. Employment-eligibility documents are requested only at the appropriate post-hire stage.
Accuracy, verification, and employment status
Applicants certify that submitted information is accurate and understand that material falsification or omission may remove an application from consideration or lead to action after hire. To A Tea Delis may verify job-related application information as permitted by law. An application is not an offer, interview promise, contract, or guarantee of hours. If hired, employment is at will to the extent permitted by law unless a written agreement signed by an authorized company representative states otherwise.
Data and optional text messages
Applicant information is used for hiring administration and protected as described in the Privacy Policy. Optional hiring text messages require a separate unchecked consent box and are not a condition of applying or employment. Review the Terms & SMS Terms for STOP, HELP, frequency, and carrier information.
